The challenge
Paper lease files made account research cumbersome and complicated business continuity. AutoTrakk needed a way to connect customer documents with its existing leasing workflow.
The work
A custom document management application was integrated with the OpenVMS leasing software. Documents were stored separately and linked to account information, with metadata search, previews and document-access auditing.
The result
Staff could find and preview documents linked to an account, with a recorded history of document access. Clustered storage and offsite replication supported the document system’s business-continuity requirements.
